- University of Guelph Professor Michael von Massow encourages farmers to become involved in the animal welfare debate. His lecture sponsored by the PEI Federation of Agriculture attracted producers, government officials and consumers. He supervised a survey in conjunction with Tim Horton's which showed 40% of consumers indicated that if they had more information on how an animal was raised, it would make a difference in their shopping habits.
