- New exhibits open
- Five new exhibits highlilghted : "Arthur Heming : Chronicler of the North, " provides an overview of Heming, a painter/illustrator/novelist whose artwork played a key role in defining the image of Canada; "In Transit : Artists on Locations," curated by Kevin Rice, features works from the Gallery's permanent collection, with a large number of pieces from PEI artist Robert Harris (1849-1919); and "Somewheres," an exhibition of 13 emerging Maritime artists, includes two PEI artists Sandi Hartling and Becka Viau, Heming exhibit section indicates a continuation that appears to have been omitted at the time of publication.

- New farmers experience growth on organic farms
- Salute to Agriculture [special supplement] Coordinator Lucia Stephen provides details about The Grow a Farmer Apprenticeship and Mentorship Program, run by the Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network (ACORN). The goals of the Grow a Farmer program are to share knowledge and build a community through a mentoring and apprenticeship program that pairs aspiring farmers with experienced ones, and to help develop a succession plan for new farmers to enter the field as older farmers retire. In addition to its mentoring program, Grow a Farmer also hold events like the Beginner Farmer Synposium, which addresses major issues that aspiring farmers face, such as land access, farm business plans, marketing and technical aspects of farming. - New food safety regulations developed in consultation with industry
- "The province has approved updated food safety regulations to protect the health of Islanders." The Food Premises Regulations under the Public Health Act came into effect November 1., ***unscanned
