- Culinary Institute of Canada students win gold at Atlantic Culinary Exhibition
- CIC students Josh Morin, Sean Audet, Catherine Los and Bryce Degner, with Team Captain Michelle Matheson took home the gold and grand gold awards for junior team in the Atlantic Culinary Exhibition, hosted by College of the North Atlantic St. John's, Newfoundland. By winning both awards, the junior team, coached by Chef Jennifer Bryant and Chef Instructor Blair Zink, were designated overall champions of the junior event. CIC students from Senior Team PEI, which included Chef Bryant, Chef Krista MacQuarrie, Applied Degree in Culinary Operations student Darren Wyland, Chef Javier Alarco and Team Manager Chef Ross Munro, also won a gold medal and second place in the overall exhibition. - The PEI Farm Centre hosts an exhibit of paintings, prints and photographs by Island artists: P. John Burden, Julia Purcell, Henry Dunsmore and Wendy Jones. The theme of the exhibit is agricultural landscapes and harvests that nurture body and soul. An opening reception is scheduled for May 13; the exhibit closes July 13.

- Cultural Forum 2014: sharing business stories
- Cultural Forum 2014 was held in March in Charlottetown. The theme was "Creative Placemaking" and they heard from three panelists their success stories of promoting arts and culture in the community Becka Viau from this town is small inc spoke about several projects including Art in the Open and their latest project Small Town gallery at the Charlottetown Farmers Market. Partnering with Mi'kmag Confederacy, and upcoming Festivals as well as with Island Media Arts Co-op are future projects. Previous projects included Island Poems 2011 and Small Town Sessions. Martina MacDonald from CBDC Rural Action Centre presented on the Artisans on Main, Montague and Souris as well as the Main Street Artisans Gallery, The Production Studio and The Artisan Boutique. Jeff Squires, co-owner of The PEI Brewing Company spoke on the Art Battle, held onsite in Charlottetown
