Culinary Institute of Canada students win gold at Atlantic Culinary Exhibition

Abstract

CIC students Josh Morin, Sean Audet, Catherine Los and Bryce Degner, with Team Captain Michelle Matheson took home the gold and grand gold awards for junior team in the Atlantic Culinary Exhibition, hosted by College of the North Atlantic St. John's, Newfoundland. By winning both awards, the junior team, coached by Chef Jennifer Bryant and Chef Instructor Blair Zink, were designated overall champions of the junior event. CIC students from Senior Team PEI, which included Chef Bryant, Chef Krista MacQuarrie, Applied Degree in Culinary Operations student Darren Wyland, Chef Javier Alarco and Team Manager Chef Ross Munro, also won a gold medal and second place in the overall exhibition.
