- Road rehabilitation energy reduction guide for Canadian road builders
- abstract: This guide focuses on energy reduction and road rehabilitation for the road-building industry. Based on a 2004 energy use survey by the Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Council of the Canadian Construction Association, the guide discusses the methodology used for the survey and the three main road rehabilitation activities: mixing aggregates; transporting materials and personnel; and using heavy machinery. Survey findings and recommendations for reducing energy use in the three processes are presented. Includes Web resources and appendixes.

- abstract: This report provides an overview of the science carried out in the branch and demonstrates how branch programs address current and emerging health priorities. It examines the types and roles of science in the branch; domestic and international collaborations; and health surveillance and monitoring systems. The report highlights five program areas: safe environments; product safety; drug strategy and controlled substances; tobacco control; and workplace health and public safety.
