Road rehabilitation energy reduction guide for Canadian road builders
Description
abstract: This guide focuses on energy reduction and road rehabilitation for the road-building
industry. Based on a 2004 energy use survey by the Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction
Council of the Canadian Construction Association, the guide discusses the methodology
used for the survey and the three main road rehabilitation activities: mixing
aggregates; transporting materials and personnel; and using heavy machinery. Survey
findings and recommendations for reducing energy use in the three processes are
presented. Includes Web resources and appendixes.
