- Association goes back to school
- The Learning Disabilities Association of PEI (LDAPEI) has brought the Arrowsmith Program to PEI; the Arrowsmith program is designed for people with learning disabilities, whether diagnosed or suspected, and deals with the root causes of the learning difficulty rather than just managing the symptoms; students work on their cognitive skills by doing many activities that exercise the part of the brain affected by the learning disability; Liane Johnston is a teacher in the program and Jacquline Robbins is and educational assistant; the LDAPEI also offers an adult reading program now through their Island Reading Tutoring Program
