- Premier remains committed to stopping land grabbing
- In former Conservative cabinet minister Horace Carver's review of the Lands Protection Act, Carver warned of a need to tighten legislation to ensure that large tracts of land can not be bought for development purposes. Ghiz responded to a question from Independent Morell-Mermaid MLA Olive Crane's question about ownership rules in the province by recognizing that some loopholes exist, but he stated that the provincial legal team is working to tighten the current legislation to prevent future land grabs.

- PEI 2014 theme song, "Forever Strong," written by Mike Ross and Nicole Bellamy has been translated and adapted for a French version by singer-songwriter Angèle Arsenault (Abram Village), with Patricia Richard (Mont Carmel) providing vocals on the track; article includes three subtitled headings : "PEI 2014 Celebration Zone," which details activities to take place at Confederation Landing Park, Charlottetown; "The Island Roadshow : Celebrating the Birthplace of Confederation," which describes a major marketing initiative that will take the Birthplace of Confederation story to eight Canadian cities; and "Hillsborough Bridge," which outlines changes that the Historic Hillsborough River Commons will create to the entrance of Charlottetown from the Hillsborough Bridge.
