- No quick decision coming on deep water well ban
- Environmental Minister Janice Sherry stated that she will not announce a final decision on lifting the moratorium on deep water wells at this time and that she will not release any correspondence between her office and members of an Environmental Advisory Committee. Although the advisory committee has not filed a formal report, discussions took place between Sherry and several committee members. During debate on the issue in the legislature, Stratford-Kinlock MLA James Aylward accused Sherry of being secretive and called for greater transparency from the minister's office.
