- Salute to Agriculture [special supplement] Alexander Beattie of Beattie Farms in Heatherdale, PEI, is one of the largest organic farms on PEI. The article charts his journey from Northern Ireland to PEI and provides details about Alpha Mills Inc. that was established in 2010 by Beattie and his brother, Wilbert. Beattie expresses the view that expanding markets will be key to the survival of Island farm operations and advocates for establishing the entire province as a GMO free zone.
