- Summerside 4-H District celebrates work of volunteers
- The annual Summerside District 4-H Leaders' Appreciation Banquet was held at the Freetown United Church hall. A District Leader Centennial Award was introduced to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 4-H in Canada and four nominees for the award were named: Susan Nunn (French River 4-H Club), Eddie Clark (Lot 16 4-H Club), Corrine Bernard (Evangeline 4-H Club) and Lorraine Noonan (Albany Centennial 4-H Club). Sandra Williams, Amy Doyle and Stephanie McDougall served as judges and named Lorraine Noonan as the winner of the award.
