- News from the herd [column] Yogi Fell reflects on her hospitalization and thanks the barn heroes for keeping the herd fed and happy. She is thankful for all the support and help she received during her recovery and also thanks Kent Butler's class at Englewood for their donation. Other donations were received from The P.E.I. Horseman Association, Atlantic Co-op and Kensington Co-op. She also writes about the hay shortage and challenges of the long winter. She discusses depression which brought on by difficulties of the winter, health and financial issues and that women are more open which may help them. She talks about the joy of her neighbours and her many barn heroes which lifted her spirits.

Yogi is recovering from surgery and is requesting help with the windfalls in the paddock. There will be a smalls program for kids aged 5-9 during July-August. There is a program Trailblazers for kids over 10 years old that also starts in July. Handibear Hills Horse Sanctuary is featured in the book "Musts to See".
