Abstract

Describes the provincial ministers Robert Mitchell and Alan MacIsaac's participation in the "Soil you undies" campaign created by the Soil Conservation Council of Canada. The campaign involves burying a pair of cotton underwear in soil and checking their condition several months later. The level of decomposition of the cotton can indicate the health of the soil. The article also includes descriptions of several soil conservation strategies promoted by the PEI Soil and Crop Improvement Association. [Includes a photograph.]
