Coming home for 100 years
Abstract
Dr. Lewis Woolner began life on a small farm in North Rustico and went on to become a distinguished pathologist at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He reminisced about his early life and talked about attending Prince of Wales College, teaching in Mayfield and went on to graduate from medicine at Dalhousie University. He later joined the Mayo Clinic and rose to title of full professor in 1961. He has published 243 peer-reviewed papers, 18 book chapters and a thesis in his career. He and his wife Laura raised five kids. He returns home to Prince Edward Island each summer [photograph].
