Abstract

The article profiles four firefighters from various fire departments. William Pidgeon has been a member of the New London Fire Department for forty years. He has been awarded the P.E.I. long service medal along with the federal Exemplary fire service medal. Ernie Gallant has been a member of the New Glasgow Fire Department for twelve years and is a Level 1 firefighter and is a qualified medical first responder. Brian MacDonald has been a member of The North Shore Fire Department for twenty years and is a level 1 and level 2 firefighter and a qualified medical first responder. Melody Blacquire and is a member of the North Rustico Fire Department and a certified medical first responder.
