Using skills for skills
Abstract
Jacob Gallant of South Rustico won a gold on PEI in 2013 and again in 2014 for the "skills competition" which encourages youth to consider skills and technology based career options. He participated in the National Skills Competition in Vancouver where he placed 6th in 2013 and he will compete again in June in Toronto. Jacob has built many things including a shop, motorcycle, boat and snowmobile from scratch. He is interested in various skills as a career including welding, mechanics, carpentry and cabinet maker.
