Abstract

Bill Emmott, vice president of the Dairy Farmers of Canada told the House of Commons Standing Committee on Agriculture that the stability provided by a strong supply management program has allowed dairy farmers to reinvest in their industry and on their farms through comprehensive research programs such as the proAction program. Such programs help the industry to explore better management practices, to develop better technology and to produce better quality products for consumers.
