WI plans provincial convention

Abstract

A PEI Women's Institute committee headed by Myrna Murray has organized this year's May 24 Provincial Convention at the Jack Blanchard Family Center, Charlottetown. The morning session will include a panel on drug use with guest panelists Judge Nancy Orr, Constable Earl Woods, Michele Dorsey, Deputy Minister of Environment, Labour and Justice, and Deputy Attorney General. This year's motivational speaker will be Keith MacLean. Also announced are upcoming scholarship deadlines, acknowledgement for the efforts of Miriam Lank and her committee for their work on April's "Spring is in the Air Gala Dinner," and the upcoming 41st annual Island clean-up event in May.
