Webster firm on cut for deadstock removal

Opposition Leader Steve Myers and Souris-Elmira MLA Coline LaVie pressed Agriculture and Forestry Minister George Webster to reconsider the department's cutback in funding the deadstock removal program, but Webster was firm that the reduction would remain in place. Webster stated that the current funding arrangement is approximately a 50-50 split between government and industry.
