Conservative opposition leader Steve Myers claims that the Ghiz government has made it harder for PEI farmers to compete regionally and nationally, by decreasing funding and support for a variety of programs in the agricultural sector of the economy. Myers holds the provincial government to task for its recent decrease in funding to the deadstock removal program and for its lack of support for pork producers during the past three to four years.
