Potato farmer Peter VanNieuwenhuyzen from Holland immigrates to PEI with his family in 1982; in the early 2000's, with potato prices falling, his three sons Willem, Rit and Phillip turn to growing tulips, and successfully harvest their first commercial crop in 2006; the VanNieuwenhuyzen family claims credit for making PEI the tulip capital of the Atlantic Region
