Abstract

The Society's General Council and committees: prepare briefing material for discussions regarding the creation of a PEI natural history museum; coordinate with the Island Nature Trust to voice concerns over the status of public lands previously designated by the province as Natural Areas that may now be endangered by the government's proposal to sell some provincially owned golf courses adjacent to these properties; plan for a multi-organizational PEI Wildlife Workshop for Spring 2014; pursue the development of a rare bird display and the co-publication of a book with the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation; apply to the Wildlife Conservation Fund for support of further research on PEI lichens; and hold a public raffle drawing at their December 2013 meeting
