Editorial [byline column] commentary that discusses a recent presentation given to the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, Energy and Environment by the Innovative Farm Group, whose membership is comprised of ten farmers in the Kinkora-Kensington area; the author discusses some of the economic impact of the data presented by this young potato farmers group and then summarizes the findings of conflicting scientific studies that the National Farmers Union has provided to governmental officials; the data supplied by the NFU calls into question the validity of the current data being used by Department of Environment during its consideration of whether to lift the existing moratorium on additional deep water wells
