Abstract
Review [feature column] : Due to renovations at the Homburg Theatre, the PEI Symphony Orchestra moved its venue to the Zion Presbyterian church and presented a premiere of New Brunswick composer Kevin Morse's "Moth to Flame," as well as a feature performance by cellist Julia MacLaine playing Dmitri Shostakovich's Cello Concerto no. 1; MacLaine, originally from PEI, began her musical training on the Island and has gone on to win acclaim for her performances in a wide range of genres all over the world; the evening's program was concluded with Beethoven's Symphony no. 2
