C-2000 design of Prince George Native Friendship Centre

abstract: The four-storey Prince George Native Friendship Centre has incorporated elements of the
C-2000 Advanced Buildings Program to make it an energy efficient building while at the
same time minimizing its environmental impacts and improving the indoor environment.
This report describes the design, construction, and expected performance of this
building. Information is included on the building site, structure, envelope, windows and
other openings, non-structural architectural systems, plumbing and sanitation systems,
vertical transport equipment, mechanical systems, power and lighting systems, cabling
and building automation, office equipment, and appliances. Simulation results are
presented regarding the performance of the building envelope and the energy efficiency
of the building. The appendix includes simulation data.
